The purpose of this study was to find out the relevance of the Geriatric Natural Health Assessment Index (GOHAI), Health satisfaction, and Quality of Life (QOL) among middle and high-aged people in Korea. The final 6,935 people were analyzed using the 2018 Aging Research Panel Survey, and the analysis was conducted using a chi-square test, composite sample design, and multi-linear regression to identify the link between the Geriatric Natural Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) and quality of life (QOL). The health satisfaction score and quality of life score increased statistically as the Geriatric Natural Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) increased by one unit. As a result of the detailed analysis by gender and age, both the female and male groups showed statistically significant relationships between health satisfaction and quality of life when the elderly health assessment index increased by one unit, and the health satisfaction scores and quality of life scores were significant even for those under 65 and above. In particular, an increase in the Geriatric Natural Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) in groups aged 65 or older showed the greatest improvement in health satisfaction and quality of life. Based on these findings, we would like to present the need for oral health care and specific management measures of the group in order to improve oral health of groups aged 65 or older who are most vulnerable to oral health but can promote maximum quality of life and health satisfaction with an increase in a unit of GOHAI.
